Agape Charity Corps carries out its mission through three areas of focus—faith-centered service, long-term formation, and cross-cultural outreach. This is not short-term charity; it is strategic, long-term formation that multiplies impact across generations.

1. Faith-Centered Service

We are committed to deep, thoughtful, prayerful, and culturally rooted evangelization—supporting parishes, dioceses, and communities through spiritual formation and works of mercy.

Evangelization & Spiritual Formation

Among Asian communities in parishes and dioceses across the United States, key initiatives include:

Multi-language retreats and days of recollection
Multi-week faith formation courses (Scripture, theology, prayer, retreat)
Campus and parish outreach for youth and young adults—Bible studies, pilgrimage, daily meditation
Spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, and discernment exercises
Digital evangelization through online talks, publications, and livestream programs
Cultural-faith integration events (service trips and faith sharing)

2. Formation & Education

We strengthen the Church by forming leaders who serve on the frontlines of evangelization—from religious sisters and catechists to lay leaders and youth.

Forming Chinese Religious Sisters

There are approximately 7,000–8,000 Catholic Sisters serving across China. Their average age is about 52. Many entered religious life with deep faith and dedication, yet most have received only senior high school education and have had limited access to formal theological, spiritual, pastoral, psycho-spiritual, parish management, or leadership training.

These Sisters are the frontlines of evangelization—serving in parishes, caring for the elderly, educating children, accompanying families, and witnessing to Christ in challenging environments. Agape Charity Corps seeks to:

Provide structured theological and pastoral formation programs
Offer leadership and parish management training
Support psycho-spiritual and pastoral care education
Provide scholarships for advanced study and ongoing formation
Equip Sisters to serve effectively in today’s complex pastoral realities

Formation for the Laity and Women’s Leadership

For many years, lay Catholics in China have had limited access to systematic theological, catechetical, spiritual, and pastoral formation. Women in particular have often had fewer opportunities, despite their indispensable role in transmitting faith within families and communities.

Agape Charity Corps seeks to:

Provide theological, catechetical, and pastoral formation programs for lay Catholics
Promote the leadership and pastoral participation of women in evangelization and community service
Offer spiritual formation retreats and faith-sharing gatherings
Equip lay leaders to accompany families and support the spiritual growth of younger generations
Strengthen the foundations of the Church by forming committed and well-prepared lay leaders

Formation of Catechists

As religious vocations decline and traditional youth formation programs face restrictions in many regions, well-formed catechists are more urgently needed than ever. Agape Charity Corps seeks to:

Train lay catechists to serve local Catholic communities
Prepare catechists to visit Catholic families and share the faith pastorally
Provide spiritual and theological formation for catechetical ministry
Strengthen the transmission of faith within families and small communities
Ensure the Gospel continues to be passed on to future generations with hope and resilience

Youth Leadership Formation in the United States

We invest in the next generation through:

Summer leadership camps
Faith-based formation programs for high school and college students
Character and ethical leadership development
Cross-cultural service learning opportunities

3. Cross-Cultural Outreach

We accompany marginalized communities across cultures—pastoral care for those far from home, and educational support for those with few resources.

Pastoral Care for Chinese and Taiwanese Students in the United States

In 2025, approximately 295,000 Chinese students from Mainland China and Taiwan study in the United States. While pursuing academic excellence, they often face cultural displacement, language barriers, isolation, academic pressure, and vulnerability in unfamiliar environments. Agape Charity Corps seeks to:

Provide pastoral accompaniment and spiritual counseling
Establish campus-based prayer and support groups
Offer cultural integration programs
Organize retreats and faith-sharing gatherings
Create safe, welcoming communities where students feel seen and valued

Student Care Initiative – Supporting the Most Vulnerable

In remote and economically disadvantaged regions of China, many capable students lack the financial resources to continue their education. Agape Charity Corps provides:

Need-based financial assistance
